Charlie's Blackened Flounder
Ingredients
- 4-6 Flounder Filets
- 1 Stick of Butter
- 1 Lemon
- DTBSpiceCo Blackened Spice
Directions
- Pat each flounder filet "dry" with a paper towel
- Generously apply DTBSpiceCo Blackening Spice to each piece of flounder
- Lightly pat the DTBSpiceCo Blackening Spice into the fish
- Allow the flounder filets to sit for approximately 30 minutes in the refrigerator
- Heat a large skillet on high heat (cast iron -- if available)
- Melt the butter in a rectangular dish
- Dip each flounder filet in the butter to coat & place in the hot skillet
- Once the edges begin turn to turn white-ish, then flip the filets
- Sear for another 30 seconds to 1 minute
- Remove fish from the skillet & squeeze lemon juice onto the flounder
