Dixie's Shrimp & Corn Bisque

Ingredients

  • 1 Lg Onion
  • 2 Cans Whole Kernel Corn (Drained)
  • 2 Lbs 150-200 Ct Raw Shrimp
  • 3 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Cans Chicken Broth
  • 1 1/2 Cups Half & Half
  • 1 Pkg Cream Cheese
  • 3 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • Water
  • DTBSpiceCo Cajun Spice

Directions

  • Puree onion in food processor
  • Pulse 1 can of corn & 1 cup of shrimp 2-3 times in food processor 
  • In large pot, melt the butter & saute onion
  • Add cream cheese & melt until there are no lumps
  • Add 1 tbsp of DTBSpiceCo Cajun Spice
  • Add chicken broth, half & half, shrimp, and corn
  • Bring to a boil then turn heat down & simmer for approximately 30 minutes
  • Mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup of water
  • Add the cornstarch mixture & stir until thickened
  • Add more DTBSpiceCo Cajun Spice to your taste
