Dixie's Shrimp & Corn Bisque
Ingredients
- 1 Lg Onion
- 2 Cans Whole Kernel Corn (Drained)
- 2 Lbs 150-200 Ct Raw Shrimp
- 3 Tbsp Butter
- 2 Cans Chicken Broth
- 1 1/2 Cups Half & Half
- 1 Pkg Cream Cheese
- 3 Tbsp Cornstarch
- Water
- DTBSpiceCo Cajun Spice
Directions
- Puree onion in food processor
- Pulse 1 can of corn & 1 cup of shrimp 2-3 times in food processor
- In large pot, melt the butter & saute onion
- Add cream cheese & melt until there are no lumps
- Add 1 tbsp of DTBSpiceCo Cajun Spice
- Add chicken broth, half & half, shrimp, and corn
- Bring to a boil then turn heat down & simmer for approximately 30 minutes
- Mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup of water
- Add the cornstarch mixture & stir until thickened
- Add more DTBSpiceCo Cajun Spice to your taste
